Toowoomba is Hot Property
Toowoomba and the Darling Downs is predicted to benefit from attractive economic opportunities over the next 50 years. A report published by Smart Property Investment named Toowoomba as the ‘Number One Investment Hotspot’ in Australia.
Terry Ryder of hotspotting.com.au reported that in 2013 most Toowoomba suburbs delivered double-digit growth of median house prices, with these prices out performing every Australian capital city, except Sydney.
Toowoomba ticks all of the property growth boxes, including a strong and diverse economy, a growing population, plenty of infrastructure expenditure, a growing business network, affordable housing, a low unemployment rate and the formation of the coal seam gas industry in the Surat Basin.
Toowoomba’s diverse economy means there isn’t sole reliance on any one resource. Other infrastructure projects and property developments in the area such as the recently approved second range crossing, the Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport and Business Park and the new CBD shopping centre precinct make Toowoomba a safe long-term bet for investors.
