10th Anniversary Celebration
Elodus Financial are pleased to invite our colleagues, clients and friends to join us in celebrating our 10th Anniversary. Our achievement will be celebrated with a sit down dinner at Gip’s Restaurant in one of Toowoomba’s most historic buildings.
We will be joined on the night by our special guest, World Champion gold medalist and Captain of the Australian Netball Diamonds and the Queensland Firebirds, Laura Geitz, who will share with us her inspirational story.
There will be raffles, an auction and pledges on the night to support two very special children’s charities.
RSVP essential as seats are strictly limited.
Due to complications during pregnancy identical twins Cooper and Regan were delivered 10 weeks premature by emergency Caesarean section and spent the first three months of their lives at the Mater Children’s Hospital in Brisbane. Before reaching his first birthday, Cooper was diagnosed with Spastic Diplegia Cerebral Palsy meaning that he has great difficulty moving from the waist down. After much physical therapy, he is able to partially crawl but can’t walk or climb, like his twin brother. Our goal is to help Cooper access world leading therapy at The Kauffman Thera-Suit Centre, in the USA, so that one day he can enjoy running, jumping and playing with his brothers and sister.
The Pyjama Foundation
Currently there are over 39,000 children in foster care in Australia, 92% have below average literacy skills. Through the Pyjama Foundation Love of Learning Program volunteers in the local region are paired with a child in care, which they visit for an hour each week and assist with reading, homework and educational games. There are currently 90 volunteers paired with over 110 children in Toowoomba, the funds raised on the night will support the training of new volunteers in order to reach a larger amount of children and also to grow the library of resources available in the region.
